1. The service
TryLocalSpot connects restaurants with local creators and helps coordinate visits, communications, and related content. We are a coordination platform, not a restaurant, talent agency, publisher, or guarantor of any creator’s results. We do not control independent restaurants, creators, or social platforms.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate, current information. Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly about unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account and for making sure your team follows these terms.
3. Restaurant responsibilities
Restaurants are responsible for the accuracy of their information, the experience they provide, food safety, permits, staff instructions, agreed dining value, and any claims made about their business. Restaurants must honour confirmed visits unless a change is agreed. Do not ask creators to make misleading claims.
4. Creator responsibilities
Creators are responsible for truthful, lawful, respectful content, complying with platform rules and advertising disclosure requirements, attending confirmed visits, and having the rights to anything they submit. Creators handle their own taxes and expenses unless we expressly agree otherwise.
5. Fees and cancellation
Any subscription, introductory offer, visit value, or other charge will be shown or agreed before it applies. Restaurant subscriptions renew as stated at signup and may be cancelled for future periods by contacting us. You remain responsible for charges already incurred. We may suspend service for overdue payments or misuse.
6. Content rights
You keep ownership of content you create. You give TryLocalSpot a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and promote content you submit or clearly authorize for the service. You confirm you have the rights needed to grant that licence and that the content does not violate anyone else’s rights.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, impersonate anyone, harass or discriminate, submit unlawful or misleading material, interfere with our systems, scrape data, send spam, or try to access accounts or information you do not own.
8. Service changes and no guarantees
We provide the service “as is” and do not promise specific reach, bookings, content performance, creator availability, or uninterrupted operation. We may change, pause, or discontinue features as the business evolves. Scheduled visits may change because of creator, restaurant, platform, or other circumstances outside our control.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TryLocalSpot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including lost revenue, reputation, data, or content. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or CAD $100 if you paid nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Indemnity and termination
You agree to cover reasonable losses arising from your breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, or content you provide. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached, payment is overdue, or the service creates risk. You may stop using the service at any time. Terms that should continue by their nature will survive termination.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Courts located in Toronto, Ontario will have jurisdiction, subject to any rights that cannot legally be waived. Questions can be sent to hello@trylocalspot.com.
If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date.
